Broekman Group's Services

Customs

Goods imported into the European Union (EU) will have to be cleared by customs before they can be traded freely. This means that Value Added Tax (VAT) and customs duties will have to be paid. Broekman Logistics has its own independent customs brokerage department which offers services in the field of customs clearance, including fiscal representation and tax advice in combination with (bonded) warehousing. We guarantee complete neutrality before, during and after business has been done.

The Netherlands is known for its competative business climate for companies operating on an international level. The Dutch government aims to facilitate business activities via the Netherlands through cooperation and flexibility, as well as streamlined and efficient customs procedures, making the Netherlands an ideal location for pan-European supply chain activities.

Customs bonded warehousing

Broekman Logistics can store your products in a bonded warehouse for an unlimited period. During this period no duties or VAT are due. Broekman Logistics bonded warehouse is administratively controlled. This means that the number of physical checks is dramatically reduced.

 Benefits of bonded warehousing:

  • unlimited storage period
  • no duty/VAT for goods stored in the bonded warehouse
  • duty payment when the goods are sold
  • goods to non-European destinations are kept in bond (no double duties)
  • interest savings on duty payments (cash flow advantage)
  • no import duty risks on obsolete stock
  • minimal customs interference

Fiscal representation for EU importers

Goods imported into the European Union (EU) via the Port of Rotterdam or Amsterdam Airport can be cleared in Rotterdam for all importers in al other European countries. Broekman Logistics can act as your Fiscal representative for the VAT-reporting and settlement.

Benefits of fiscal representation:

  • Positive impact on cash flow due to VAT payments
  • VAT deferment programs to avoid exposure to VAT payments
  • Fiscal representative will check VAT numbers
  • Fiscal representative is responsible for the Intrastat reports and listings

Automated customs procedures

Electronic data interchange communication between the Dutch customs and the importing party ensures an efficient clearance. Administrative or physical checks are communicated as soon as possible.

AEO Authorised Economic Operator

Broekman Group obtained the Authorised Economic Operation (AEO) status for all Dutch locations. Because of this, Broekman offers a complete secure logistics chain through her organization.
