On Monday the 28th of June 2010 the Broekman Group received seventeen Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certificates from the Dutch customs authority. The number of simultaneously obtained certificates is unique within the history of AEO. Because of this special occasion the certificates where handed out by B.S. Wiersema, the regional customs director from the port of Rotterdam.
Not only the number of received certificates deserves a remark. Also the fact that Broekman Group obtained the AEO status for all Dutch locations has to be mentioned. Because of this, Broekman offers a complete secure logistics chain through her organisation. Not only all the terminals and warehouses in Rotterdam and Born, but also the shipping agents in Rotterdam and our offices in Moerdijk, Rotterdam, Born en Amsterdam are AEO certified.
Being an Authorised Economic Operator means that Broekman Group is a proven, secure member of the international supply chain and is identified as a reliable trading partner in terms of both efficiency and compliance. All Broekman companies will have and show the AEO logo in a short period of time. As a result of this customers can see immediately that they are dealing with a certified logistics service provider.
